Cryptogram HD & Crypto-Families HD by Norman Basham.

 

These two programs cover the full gambit of cipher type word games. If you feel that certain logic puzzles that require math, just aren’t doing it for you, and you miss the days of classic word games, then I have two iPad/ apps you’ll want to sink your teeth into. If you get stuck, you definitely can ask for a hint, and at times, you can just use your vast knowledge to solve the puzzles, but its pretty neat to look at the Cryptology type Algorhythms that are being used to solve these puzzles.

 

Each one costs only $1.99 however on the iPad it’s quite stunning. They also have the look and feel of turn-of-the-century coded message a spy would use to decode hidden messages. I tip my hat to Norman Basham for creating two amazing programs!
