Here's how to install the Amazon Appstore for Android to your Smart Phone or Tablet:

On your device, from the Settings you'll want to select Applications.

Please select Unknown Sources, you'll want to check this, as you'll need this active for the following steps. If this box is already checked, please skip down to the fourth step.

Don’t panic when you get the Attention box that will pop up, just click ok to proceed.

Either scan the QR code, or go to this link to download the Amazon Appstore file that is needed to proceed.

From the Amazon Appstore site, you either entered in your email address or your cell number. If you did, either check your email or sms notify for the download link needed to continue.

You’ll want to select the Amazon_Appstore.apk file.

Once you’ve selected the Amazon_Appstore.apk file, you’ll be prompted to install.

Once the install is completed, click the Open button.

That’s it, just log in with your amazon.com account and password, and you’re now in the new Amazon Appstore location.
